WESLEY WONDERS, our Summer Sunday School concludes with one last "wonder" on Sunday, August 27th. At the conclusion of the Children's Message at our Sunday 10:00 worship, children from age 3 (diaper free) through those children who have completed 2nd grade will meet once more in Wesley Hall to enjoy a Bible story and a little fun. Thank you to all the volunteers who shared these stories and their love with BCUMC's children.

Thank God I'm Forgiven

Beginning on Wednesday September 6th we will gather as the BCUMC Family for dinner, praise and study. We will be serving dinner from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm. At 6:30, we will have a short time of Prayer and Praise in Asbury Hall. At 7:00 pm classes will begin for children from 3 years of age to 8th grade and a variety of Bible study opportunities for teens and adults. Child care will be provided for children under 3 years old. In addition to stories and games, Mr. Matelan will be leading adventures in music for children in elementary and middle school. Adults will be able to choose from Disciple I Bible Study, a Women's Bible Study, a short term study or Dr. Erwin Kerr's review of the lectionary scripture for the upcoming weekend.

SUNDAY MORNING CAFE
Are you looking for a good cup of coffee and some conversation? Then our Wesley Hall is where you want to be from 9:15 am until 10:15 am on Sunday mornings. It is just the right location to stop and grab a cup of coffee and a bagel before heading off to an adult Sunday School class, choir practice or the children's class you are teaching. The Sunday Morning Cafe provides a friendly, open atmosphere to get to know some of our church family. So, plan to stop and have a cup of coffee or tea while discovering the warmth of Baldwin Community United Methodist Church.

MINISTRY FAIR !!
September 10, 2006
Join us on Homecoming Sunday following 11:00 worship. Stay for a bite to eat (food donated by Otterstedt of Englewood Cliffs) and then explore our wonderful Ministry Fair. Representatives from the church ministry teams will be available to share their vision and purpose with you.

This is a great way to relax, enjoy some good food and fellowship, while taking a little bit of time to get to know your church better. Plan now to join us!

"WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT" STUDY GROUP (Parlor) - Wednesdays 9:00 AM
Beginning Wednesday, September 13th, 2006 the "What's It All About" group will be reading That's What the Man Said, The Sayings of Jesus by Maxie Dunnam. It is a Bible Study designed to help us be better followers of Jesus Christ. This Bible Study meets every Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM in our Parlor. Come; join this lively group for study and fellowship.

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS, which may be required by high schools for graduation, are now available from BCUMC by volunteering as a dishwasher for Church sponsored events. This is a great way to fulfill the student service responsibility and also to begin to develop the habit of service to the Church. The only requirements are that the participant be at least 16 years old and that they complete training on the dishwasher. This training should only take about a half of an hour. Interested students should contact Dale Crowley, Business Administrator, at the Church during normal business hours.

ANNUAL METHODIST MEN'S BARBEQUE...
New Date to be Announced

Plan to come to the Men's Annual Chicken and Pork Barbecue this September. Sales will start at 10:30 AM. Pick up your chicken or ribs in the church parking lot. Profits from the sales go to the Education Award presented annually to a BCUMC college student. Any man interested in helping out, may contact Rich Katilius at 412/ 851-4254.
...and YOUTH CAR WASH
While picking up your food have your car washed by our University of Life youth. They will wash cars from 10 AM to 2 PM on the same Saturday. Your donation will help them earn money for their 2007 Mission Trip.
