Sunday Mornings - Something for Everyone

Child Care is provided by warm, loving volunteers for children from birth to age three in our nursery from 8:15 AM until 12:15 PM. Our nursery is located on the Second Floor, just up the steps from the Narthex of the Sanctuary. Parents can attend worship and adult education classes knowing that their precious children are cared for lovingly.

WAM - Worship and More: Students from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade gather at 9:45 AM in the Chapel for WAM. Together we praise Jesus Christ and share in prayer. It is a time of celebration, a time of wonderful music and a time to learn that praising God is a joyful, fun experience.

Classes for Children: Traditional classes for children aged 3 through Third Grade use the Exploring Faith curriculum, designed to enable children to experience God through Jesus Christ. Children and the adults who live and work with them, experience together, in Christian community, the stories and messages of the Bible appropriate to the children's increasing maturity.

The children in the Fourth and Fifth grades use an exciting, brand, new, DVD based curriculum called Live B.I.G. designed to help children learn about the love of God through Jesus so they can live their "Belief in God".

Middle School students enjoy Hang Time, a new concept for BCUMC. The students join in WAM (some actually help lead the worship). They remain together as a large group to "hear the talk" of the morning. This "talk" might be a movie clip, a drama, a song or just a "talk". After the "talk", we divide into small groups to dig into the meat of the "talk" to see what God is saying to us. Through Hang Time we discover what Jesus wants us to be, right now in 2006. It is definitely not your grandma's Sunday school or your little brother's either!

High School students meet in the Youth Room (Room 214). Lively discussions challenge them to grow in their faith, to make a difference in the world around them and to discover what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
