Sunday Mornings - Something for Everyone

Child Care is provided by warm, loving volunteers for children from birth to age three in our nursery from 9:15 AM until 12:15 PM. Our nursery is located on the Second Floor, just up the steps from the Narthex of the Sanctuary. Parents can attend worship and adult education classes knowing that their precious children are cared for lovingly.

Children's Sunday School begins at 9:30 am with worship and praise at the Asbury Alternative worship service in Asbury Hall.  Children are encourated to participate in the singing and praise before moving forward to spend time with the pastor for a special message, just for them.  At the conclusion of the message, the children are escorted, by their teachers m to their classrooms.  Our Sunday School classes are using exciting, brand, new, DVD based curriculum called Live B.I.G. ( Live Believing in God) designed to help children live their lives as believers in Jesus Christ, learning that what we learn about on Sunday has real meaning every day of the week.

Children in Worship invites children aged three through the Second Grade to Room 223 for their own special time to learn about worship, why it is important and what it means to us as believers.  Children will come to the 11:00 am worship service with their families.  Following the Children's Message, children will be escorted from the sanctuary.  Parents are to meet their children in Room 223 following the worship service.

Middle School students enjoy the beginning worship and praise of the Asbury Alternative worship service and then move to the Youth Room (Room 214) for a lively discussion of what it means to be a teenage follower of Jesus Christ in today's complicated world.

High School students meet in the Youth Room (Room 214) at 11:00 am. Lively discussions challenge them to grow in their faith, to make a difference in the world around them and to discover the Promises made to them by God through his son, Jesus Christ.
